Back to the Drawing Board

As you guess from the blooper post, I’ve had to go back to the drawing board – literally – and redesign Eeyayho :-(  Referring to Ember’s original drawing, I’ve been doodling various poses, body shapes, and just generally trying to find something Jade feels will work well in both gaming and animation … *sigh*

In memory …

Hey-yah; Rosa here.

Sorry the page has been quiet. There have been several deaths in the family over the past few weeks and it’s kinda knocked the creativity out of me.

I promise we’ll be back to work and sharing fun stuff with you again soon <3

The challenge of SPACE!

One of the big challenges we’re facing is: SPACE. With four of us in a tiny 2 bedroom apartment, it’s really REALLY difficult to get any work done. Toddlers like to “help”. A lot. We’re looking for a nice little house with space to set up a work studio.

Experimenting

We’re experimenting with different looks for ‪#‎Eeyayho‬ to see what works best for movement and animation. Our original design has rabbit-like legs that bend opposite to human legs and nubby fingers. Here is a quick piece Jade put together with human like legs and hands. What do you think?

New Year Update …

Hi All :-) It’s been a while since our last update because … UGH!!! *Banging head on wall*

While we took several big steps forward with Eeyayho’s Adventure (YAY!!), 2014 was really uncooperative with us (BOO!). We had both our computers die horrible deaths, lots of technical issues, files go missing, and Jade’s animation folder for Eeyayho went missing along with
every. single. backup. copy ….

I keep telling myself that there’s a good reason, but sometimes, it feels like this apartment is filled with malicious gremlins. I’m tempted to dance around the room tossing glitter around while the kids beat pots and pans in an effort to clean out all the tech-glitching, file-eating monsters! (If I do, I promise to make a video of it.)

Anyway, Jade has started all over again with rigging, colouring, and testing the animation. I’m still working on the game storyline and art. It’s a new year, soooooooo:
HERE WE GO!!
